Training - San Dan Gi No1
San Dan Gi or three level training exercise is a very
useful preparatory tool for kata and kumite. They teach stance transition,
timing, distance and control. Sensei Andrews teaches 5 different sets of San
Dan Gi with many different variations, with these variations even the most
basic of San Dan GI like number one can be made more challenging for higher
grades. Sets can be practised solo or paired up. When attacking Dan grades
start from Heiko Dachi whilst Kyu Grades start from Sanchin Dachi.(Musubi
Dachi when defending)
